Quote, Summary, or Paraphrase Paragraph
As we all may not know, it is extremely important to know how to quote people of saying's you have used, to be able to summarize a book, or even paraphrase it. A quote would be needed to give a writer and communicator his or her credit for what they have said. Otherwise it would be considered plagiarism if you didn't. A summary comes important when a friend ask's you about a movie you just saw and what it was about. Some may not have time for a full summary so they can just give you the main ideas of the movie with a paraphrase. This may sound the introduction to my lesson but this is it! It is this simple! To summarize is to restate the story, a paraphrase is the restating of main ideas, and a quote is something said by someone else. Just go over this a couple times and I'm sure you will get the hang of this!

You should ensure that you state the meaning of the original text clearly and the paraphrased text is about the same length as the original one. See more paraphrase helper
