Fourth Quarter Kickoff Reflection

I think that the fourth quarter kickoff was very fun because my team won every challenge (Of Course). My team was superbly dominant and could not be beaten. The funny thing is the only team we didn't compete against went undefeated too, but that wouldn't of been the case if we played them. It was a great idea on behalf of the school staff and teachers because it brought the campus closer together.

Fourth Quarter Goals

My greatest achieved goal last quarter was that I did not have any D's or F's (Unless Ms. Priester decides to give me a D). I worked hard not to get any D's or F's so I don't have to take summer school this year. All I had to do was consistently do my homework but I did kind of get messed up the 3 days I was suspended. My goal for this quarter is to earn a 3.5 GPA. The way to achieve that is by staying out of trouble and staying on task for all my assignments.

What I Learned in the Third Quarter of English 10

This quarter I learned how symbolism is not only what is visualized but a meaning deeper than that. We were taught how allegory is used in poetry. Not only did we learn about these topics but we also learned about how figurative language is used. We learned that primary sources are words directly from the person and secondary sources are information about someone written by someone else. This is everything that I learned in the third quarter of English 10.

“Where Have You Gone, Charming Billy?” Breaking News

Today a 24 year old man by the name of Chaos Oneill was gunned down in a Kentucky Fried Chicken by a sharpshooter who was believed to be set up across the street at the local Food 4 Less. He was shot directly in the heart and was killed instantly. The sharpshooter is in custody but will not cooperate with the FBI. It is believed that he shot an innocent man that looked similar to a target of the sharpshooter. It is a sad and tragic story and we wish the family of this young man good luck.

CAHSEE Reflection

Today I took the CAHSEE for English and I felt I accelled my expections and did unbelievably good on it. I did not think that the test was going to be as easy as it turned out to be. Every section for me was easy and I doubt that I didn't pass. I'm so confident that I would be shocked if I wound up not passing it. That is my feelings about the CAHSEE but the rest of my day has been unbelievably horrible.

Primary & Secondary Sources Comparison

Primary and secondary sources differ by who in which it was written by. A primary source is when the story that was written is actually talking about the person writing it. A secondary source is a piece in which someone is talking about someone else or refering to someone else. Secondary sources are more reliable because they give you factual information while a primary source may be opinionated. They are both helpful because they both give you facts and details about a person. These are the difference between primary and secondary sources.

Feelings about the CAHSEE

My feelings about the CAHSEE are pretty confident. In the practice essay today I did not read the prompt thoroughly enough but essay's are one of my strong points in school and I see myself having no problems with it if I read the directions thoroughly. I just feel like I was rushed to finish the practice one we did today and it did not live up to my full ability although it was still a good essay. Overall I think I will be fine for the real topic and wind up passing it.
