“’The Highwayman’ and ‘Typhoid Fever’ Comparison.”
In both of the stories they are dealing with two characters that are struggling to be together with an outside force. Other people are trying to keep the two characters in "Typhoid Fever" are kept away from eachother by the nurses and nuns in the place the characters are being kept at. In "The Highwayman" the two characters are being kept away from eachother because one of them is a robberer and officers are trying to have him killed because of the crimes he has commited. It is important for Frank to hear what happened at the end of the story because he realizes the reality of life and how harsh it can be.
