Dragon Den Question

The color that I feel represents me is Red. I believe this color represents me because when I think of red I think of something that stands out. I see leader qualities. I also see a very opinionated person. I see all these qualities in myself. Also red is just a sexy color in general and that is something I see in myself also. Purple would be my secondary color because its more relaxing. Red is the color that represents me best.

Improvement

Over the past two years I feel that I have significantly gotten better in every aspect of my education. My writing was very non detailed and it lacked a great deal of complexity. My reading has always been proficient. Since the 4th grade I have read at a 12th grade reading level. My use of English has always been at the top of its game. I have never had a problem with my vocabulary or slurring. My group-work skills were not very good coming into high school but I must say that I have gotten much better in participating and choosing hard working partners that are on the same level pace that I am. I never used technology before entering high school but now I am extremely experienced with it. For my last two years of high school I plan to work hard, learn the material being taught to me, and never fail a class again.

My Future

Honestly, I feel like my future has major upside. Not to be cocky or anything but I feel like I am very bright and have a lot of potential. Not only is that my opinion but many others have expressed the same feeling as well. I think that in the next two years I will earn University bound grades, maintain a stable job throughout the week and save some money, and also have a social life on top of that. My goals are to go to a two year rather than straight to a university and then work my way up to a university. I also see myself learning to be a sports analyst which would be my dream job if not actually being involved in sports. This is my views on my future.

Playwrights Project Play Performance Paragraph

One word that describes how I felt through the plays was inspired. Most plays were on very touchy subjects and mainly deal with life of what foster kids had to go through before entering the system. Some stories are extremely crazy. I am inspired by how far these kids have come to overcome their harsh pasts. It's a bit overwhelming to see. But nonetheless these kids are by far the strongest in America emotionally. The strongest are the ones that are able to graduate high school, go to college, and become successful. That in my mind would be my ideal role model.

Greatest High School Achievement

My greatest high school achievement was achieved at the end of the fourth quarter of my Freshman year. I knew I was ahead of all my work for the first half of the quarter and I was pretty consistent all the way throughout the end. I wasn't quite sure if I did as good as I thought. It was Friday, which meant that we would be getting grades and I was super anxious to find out what my overall GPA was for the quarter. So I went straight home after school, ripped open my report card, and found a 3.56 GPA waiting for me inside! I never felt more proud of myself than that moment! It made me realize that if I'm not lazy I can earn high GPA's every time I tried. A 3.5 GPA by far has been my greatest high school achievement. So far!

My Educational Experiences

Thinking about all my past experiences in school I have been very inconsistent after the fifth grade. When I was in a steady home I was a consistent honor roll student, mainly because I was beaten if I did not get good grades so I earned them out of fear. When I started to feel more comfortable when I lived with my grandma I was more into friends at that age and starting socializing a lot more than doing work. But through everything I realized school is very important in life and I'm trying to get my act together now so I can live a happy life after this. My school experiences have helped me realize a lot of things in life, even things that aren't related to school. Hopefully I can leave here and be happy after this. It's up to me. I can't blame anyone but myself if it doesn't go as I dream. I guess I will find out in the near future. This is what school has done for me.

Greatest High School Obstacle

This year I decided early on that I did not want to take summer school so in order for me to do that I would need to pass all my classes with a C or higher. I got a D in biology first quarter but I found out Ms. Davis is not teaching biology in the summer. So from that point on I knew I couldn't get a D at all for the rest of the year. So I got my act together and always made sure that I didn't fall behind so I wouldn't have to stress to much near the grading period. But now I get to go to Idaho for a month and a half so I am super excited. This has been my biggest obstacle, so far.

Trip to the ER

Yesterday during football practice, I found myself in the waiting room of the Emergency room. You might ask yourself how does that make sense? But the way it was possible is because I left early because I had an accident with Labari during the first hour of practice. His elbow smashed into my chin and then my top two teeth punctured my lip and went straight through it. It was bleeding so bad that I had to go to the office. When I got to the office they told me I needed to go to the Emergency room, I went and waited their for 4 hours just so they can put glue in the cut and prescribe me antibiotics. It was a complete waste of time. Thhis is my trip to the ER.

Prom Night

Friday night was prom night and I have to say it was a lot better than last years. Everybody was dancing, the food was pretty good even though I don't like Roast Beef. Even the vegetables were good. They even had ice cream towards the end which was the perfect desert at the time. I went dressed in Green and White. Thankfully I was the only person who wore green and it looked good so I was happy with how everything played out. We got home from prom at about 11 o'clock. As soon as I got home I took everything off and went straight to bed. Thats how my prom night went.

Field Trips

This week has been a field trip filled week. Tuesday I went to the dairy farm with peers of mine from our biology classes, then on Thursday Mr. Beedle took all of his Spanish and Art classes on a field trip to La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art and to the San Diego County Office of Education to view art that was made by both great artist's and very artistic students. The trip to the Dairy Farm was very weird to me. The main farmer their stuck his whole arm up a cows anus. It was super disgusting! It just wasn't my type of job that would attract my interest. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. Then the field trip with Mr. Beedle was more relaxed and just view art at your own pace. I really enjoyed it. Especially eating near the beach. That was a fun experience to enjoy with my peers. Overall the field trips were very fun and interesting. Plus its always good to be able to have fun during school hours.

Lets do it! But I don't know how?

Really? Your mommy is awesome too!

Quote, Summary, or Paraphrase Paragraph

As we all may not know, it is extremely important to know how to quote people of saying's you have used, to be able to summarize a book, or even paraphrase it. A quote would be needed to give a writer and communicator his or her credit for what they have said. Otherwise it would be considered plagiarism if you didn't. A summary comes important when a friend ask's you about a movie you just saw and what it was about. Some may not have time for a full summary so they can just give you the main ideas of the movie with a paraphrase. This may sound the introduction to my lesson but this is it! It is this simple! To summarize is to restate the story, a paraphrase is the restating of main ideas, and a quote is something said by someone else. Just go over this a couple times and I'm sure you will get the hang of this!

Posters in the Hall

I do believe that it is somewhat wrong because like it was stated in the directions, it needs a lot more diversity. Its not too big of a deal but I do agree that their should be quotes from people of every descent and not just one. It wont hurt nobody to hear the opinions of people other than just one race or ethnicity. Their are millions and millions of people on Earth and I'm sure it's not that hard to find a couple quotes from people who are not caucasian. Diversity is a good thing. It might even give you insight on a few ways people of a different ethnicity or race do thinks differently from you. This is how I feel about the hallway posters.

Here’s your lunch, and don’t leave the table until you have finished it all.

Jacoby

[Very hungry, in good mood to begin with. ]

Thanks mom.

Maurice

[Not hungry, anxious to play on trampoline, in a good mood.]

Thanks mom, but I’m not really hungry, I am still full from the cereal I had earlier. Jacoby

Yeah and he didn’t even save me any mom!

Maurice

Now you know how I felt when you ate all of the last three boxes we’ve had fat boy.

Michele

[Talking very angry]

Stop arguing! Maurice you aren’t going anywhere until you finish that sandwich whether you’r hungry or not!

Maurice

But I told you I’m not hungry mom, I’ve already eaten. Can I just go play on the trampoline?Michele

Maurice

[Finishing his sandwich in anger]

I’m done. Now may I go play on the trampoline?

Michele

[Very rude]

No Jacoby you’r not going anywhere. I’m the boss here you don’t tell me what you’r going to do, I do, so go clean your room. Maurice, since you asked you can go outside on your little trampoline.

Jacoby

[Whining]

Awww mom! Fine

What do you want to read about in the next scene of my play?

What is the best part of my scene?

CST Testing Reflection

This week we had to take three tests for the subjects of Math, English, and History. It was the longest testing period I have ever had in my life. I hate testing because it requires so much time and consistent focus. It is hard for me to have to do this once, and we had to do this three times! My mind is exhausted from all I have had to do. If I had to take another one tomorrow I think I would be dead already (Just Kidding). I think I did alright on the tests though. Except for the history one because I guessed on the whole second section because I didn't know any of it. This is how my testing went for me.

Free Blog Post

Lately I have been doing really well on all my homework assignments and my decision making at home and also at school. I have done nothing to get me in trouble and today was an extra great day because my bro Broderick came back today. Hes been gone for a while but I'm glad he's back. Life has been pretty amusing these last couple months. Drama has not surrounded me and I haven't surrounded myself by it neither. I have no complaints about the way things are going this past few weeks.

Testing Tips, Strategies, and Plays Reflection

Testing can be very difficult and hard if you do not know how to take it properly. To begin with you have to follow all directions exactly how they are given. The most important rule in my opinion is to read the question thoroughly so you know exactly what to look for. Testing can seem like it takes forever to finish but if you just focus on every question and not rush it will go by faster than you may think. If teachers tell you to study certain topics than that is a must. These are some helpful tips to help you be a successful test taker.

My Feelings about the Upcoming CSTs

I am most definitely not excited about the upcoming STAR testing. I absolutely hate tests because they require so much focus and time that it gets very boring and gives me a stomach ache. I have taken many test's in my 10 years of experience that I am extremely sick of it. I hope after college I will never see another test in my life because I will go crazy. I always do good and tend to score high on these tests but I just hate the fact that they take so long and are so time consuming. I feel horrible about the upcoming test but I am positive I will have no problem with it.

Playwrights Project Inspired by Music Paragraph

In class today, we started it off with our typical ten second sound off. Then we did an acting excersize with Ms. Olivia. Then she presented the next step in class which was to listen to music while to come up with an idea for our play scenes. At first, I didn't think music would make a difference. While listening to the music, It gave me the idea to go with the darker more evil theme because the music sounded as such. While I was writing, I really felt that the music helped me. Afterward, I felt accomplished with the ideas I came up with.

UnGoogleable Research Paper Website Selection Reflection

Today in class, we had to find 6 websites that were either at grade level or above grade level based on the information given and the format of the website. To search for these websites I went to "advanced search" on Google. I made sure all the URL's had .org in them and it gave me a really good selection. I found some really good information on these websites. I knew some of the websites I searched up were good because the information on them were very detailed and it gave facts for the most part. Tomorrow, I expect that Ms. Priester will let me choose any of the sites because they were so good.

Third Quarter Awards Review

Last friday was an award assembly for students who did well in their academics and citizenship and a few more awards were also given for studen employees. It gave certificates to those students who achieved over a 3.0 GPA ranging to a 4.0. I am proud of my fellow classmate, Joseph Bakhit, for receiving a 4.0. The award assembly is always good to recognize who achieved and worked hard for the quarter. Congratulations to those who achieved. Hopefully this quarter I can get on the right track and start doing better also.

UnGoogleable Research – What I Already Know

My focus question is, "How have steroids impacted baseball?". I already know that a handful of major league baseball players have been tested positive for performance enhancing drugs that have been proven to boost their stats while they are on it. I also know these athletes had huge penalties or consequences for using them. On top of that, the people who used them are looked down upon after being found of use. By doing research I hope to learn how this affected Major League Baseball and how did the players respond to being tested positive.

"Switch" Play Audience Member Experience

Today on the field trip to the play named "Switch", I really enjoyed myself. We were able to get away from the school environment and watch a play that was very touching and true to what foster kids like us here at San Pasqual have had to go through in their past. It really must of opened eyes for people who do not know much about what we might have had to go through and it was fun to share this experience with my classmates. I am thankful that our school allowed us to take this fun trip. It was very interesting and it won't be forgotten. Especially the funny knock knock joke that was told during the play.

UnGoogleable Research Paper – Website Evaluation Tips

For my research paper I went to the website www.baseballssteroidera.com, which informed me about all the past players who have been tested positive for performance enhancing drugs or steroids. I asked both of my houseparents if they felt this website would help with my research and this is what they said. Chas said "I think it can be very helpful considering it also has their stats before and after use". I also asked his wife Pamela and she agreed. The student I asked was Michael Cotter (My House mate) and he said he think it will be helpful but I might need another resource to go along with it for enough information to cover the whole paper. This advice is going to help me because I know exactly what to look for. I'll be sure to give them my thanks.

Homonym Poem

Last week I felt strong, not weak. I felt new but I knew it was just a stage. Planning a voyage to where I don't know, so I dont know what to wear. It is said I need four days worth of clothing for this vacation. I stepped outside, the blue sky blew some gust at me. I packed the clothes one by one until the goal was won. My dad said check the weather because that will determine whether I go or not. The weather was good I stepped outside my dad said "wait make sure you didn't pack too much weight. I headed off to the voyage that I was sent, to make a couple cents.

Fourth Quarter Kickoff Reflection

I think that the fourth quarter kickoff was very fun because my team won every challenge (Of Course). My team was superbly dominant and could not be beaten. The funny thing is the only team we didn't compete against went undefeated too, but that wouldn't of been the case if we played them. It was a great idea on behalf of the school staff and teachers because it brought the campus closer together.

Fourth Quarter Goals

My greatest achieved goal last quarter was that I did not have any D's or F's (Unless Ms. Priester decides to give me a D). I worked hard not to get any D's or F's so I don't have to take summer school this year. All I had to do was consistently do my homework but I did kind of get messed up the 3 days I was suspended. My goal for this quarter is to earn a 3.5 GPA. The way to achieve that is by staying out of trouble and staying on task for all my assignments.

What I Learned in the Third Quarter of English 10

This quarter I learned how symbolism is not only what is visualized but a meaning deeper than that. We were taught how allegory is used in poetry. Not only did we learn about these topics but we also learned about how figurative language is used. We learned that primary sources are words directly from the person and secondary sources are information about someone written by someone else. This is everything that I learned in the third quarter of English 10.

“Where Have You Gone, Charming Billy?” Breaking News

Today a 24 year old man by the name of Chaos Oneill was gunned down in a Kentucky Fried Chicken by a sharpshooter who was believed to be set up across the street at the local Food 4 Less. He was shot directly in the heart and was killed instantly. The sharpshooter is in custody but will not cooperate with the FBI. It is believed that he shot an innocent man that looked similar to a target of the sharpshooter. It is a sad and tragic story and we wish the family of this young man good luck.

CAHSEE Reflection

Today I took the CAHSEE for English and I felt I accelled my expections and did unbelievably good on it. I did not think that the test was going to be as easy as it turned out to be. Every section for me was easy and I doubt that I didn't pass. I'm so confident that I would be shocked if I wound up not passing it. That is my feelings about the CAHSEE but the rest of my day has been unbelievably horrible.

Primary & Secondary Sources Comparison

Primary and secondary sources differ by who in which it was written by. A primary source is when the story that was written is actually talking about the person writing it. A secondary source is a piece in which someone is talking about someone else or refering to someone else. Secondary sources are more reliable because they give you factual information while a primary source may be opinionated. They are both helpful because they both give you facts and details about a person. These are the difference between primary and secondary sources.

Feelings about the CAHSEE

My feelings about the CAHSEE are pretty confident. In the practice essay today I did not read the prompt thoroughly enough but essay's are one of my strong points in school and I see myself having no problems with it if I read the directions thoroughly. I just feel like I was rushed to finish the practice one we did today and it did not live up to my full ability although it was still a good essay. Overall I think I will be fine for the real topic and wind up passing it.

"Ex- Basketball Player" Paragraph

Athletics are very important to me because it gives us as students the ability to not only have work to focus on in school but also a variety of different kinds of skills to inherit such as teamwork and also a skill for the sport being played. I believe it prepares people for life because when you get into a job environment, some jobs require you to work with your co-workers. It will help you not only be able to communicate better but also give you the experience with working with someone or a group of people to complete a task or goal.

Google Moderator Questions and Answers

I believe that many people in the world set higher goals then they can actually achieve. The goals they set are more like dreams they would like to achieve but sometimes you may not be asseted with the appropriate skills for the job or whatever it is he or she is working for. This is why we should analyze our goals before actually trying.

Persuading You to Comment Blog Post

Sophomores in Ms. Priester's English 10 classes should comment on Freshman's blog posts. One reason why they should is because we may not know it but the Freshman look up to us and if we comment on their posts with critisizm they will take it as extra help to help them succeed in the class and earn good grades. Second is because it enhances our skills to keep up with people other then ourselves and let us know a little more about the person through their blog.

What It Takes To Be A Sophemore

What it takes for me to be a sophomore is a high level of maturity. Without being mature you willl not fit in the classes and not reach your full potential because of all the distractions. When you mature you learn when to play and when to be serious in order to complete the given assignments and stay on task at the same time.

Similes:
1. Passes with people off campus are like Disneyland because it's a great place to get away.

3. My house is like the zoo because it is always loud.
4. Community meetings are like ants because they are annoying.
Personification:
1. The moon stared at the Earth all throughout the night.
2. The flower puckered its lips for the rain.

This Week

This week for me has been a really good week. The last two weeks have been very interesting and I have enjoyed myself. I have spent time with close friends, played basketball in games and practices, and I also went to baseball practices. Not to mention all the things that pop up in between these activities. I have moved houses because my houseparents left and that is the only bad thing that has happened. I miss them but life is full of changes and you have to learn to cope with them and get through it.

Graph Sherbet Blog Post

I can relate to the poem "Grape Sherbet" because I have once too celebrated the anniversary of an age of a deceased person. We celebrate my great Grandfathers birthday every September 11th because he was in war and died at a young age due to the war of World War Two. We meet at a park in Yorba Linda, Orange County. It is kind of a small family reunion and we rent drive-able bikes and the whole family has fun. One of the phrases in the poem that helped me imagine this was when the author said he was walking above tombstones. It is similar to what my family does.

Memorable Valentintes Day

A memorable Valentines Day for me was the Valentines Day of my 8th grade year. I spent over a hundred dollars on stuff to fill my girlfriends locker with. I took her books and backpack out and put her stuff in my locker and then filled her locker with Roses, candy, drinks, a card, a giant heart of chocalate and much more stuff and when she got to her locker I was around the corner and she had the hugest smile of shock that I have ever seen in my life. I loved that day but I will never spend that much money ever again.

"Remember" Homework Paragraph

The statements in the last three lines of the poem "remember" is logical because us people or humans make the world or universe what it is and we are living in it or on it. The world and environment is what we make it. We either take care of it and keep it in good shape or we abuse it and let it fall to disaster. Another example is us being humans we created language and we made every word and gave the word its meaning. This is why I believe these lings are logical.

Remember Paragraph

"Entering the Poets world, I think she wrote this story and published it because she thought people didn't respect themselves and where they live. Another example, If I was the poet I would have published this because I might of realized what other people don't, and I apreciate my world and all who live in it. A final example, If I were to make a poem and have it published I would do it because the way I described this poem is said in such a way the poem alone can change someones persepctive.
This poem made me feel ashamed because I see how orrible people treat each other and our world.

Heartbreak Response

In the poem "Heart! We will forget him!" the speaker in the poem speaks directly to her heart as if it were another person, a possible reason she talks to her heart seperately could be because it makes her feel as if she is not alone. I thnk her boyfriend cheated on her. Personification is giving non-living things human characteristics. The author uses personification and it just shows how she can cope with her problems and fell as if she had company. One way I can relate to this poem is when I was heartbroken. I felt almost this bad and I thought alot to compsny myself.

“A Storm in the Mountains” One with Nature

One day me and my brother decided to go camping with our friends and their dad. I'm not really a person who likes to be an adventurist like that but I went because my friends talked me into it. We found a spot right next to the lake somewhere in a mountain in Idaho. It was miles and miles away from any civilization and I was having a bad feeling about staying the weekend there. I seen very tall trees that covered the whole sight except for the lake which stood out like a rat in a hamster cage. All I could hear is birds chirping and the sound of water ski's in the lake. With every step I was reminded that I was in the nature because I was constantly stepping on dirt and uneven gravel. At first I was skeptic about going but after all the fun I had, I would be quick to say yes to another trip with them.

Paragraph to Persuade You to Read My Poem

The name of my poem is "I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Bacca. I reccomend people to read this poem because it has great meaning and uses very good metaphoric sentences and is also has good examples of something of great value to you. Imagery in Selected Poem Paragraph

An example of imager in the poem I chose is where he says "the feathers are of a silver metal" stating that the feathers are beautiful in color. Imagery is very important in setting the mood because you can either start a poem off as happy and bright or dark and evil. This story helps describe the emotion of comfort. Being comforted by something nice in view and very friendly. This is how imagery is used in the poem I chose.

Third Quarter Goals Reflection

One of my goals for third quarter was to achieve a 3.5 GPA. As of right now I am on the path of getting around a 3.8 GPA which is achieving higher than what I was aiming for. Another goal of mine was to play basketball. I am currently playing basketball and not only am I on the time but I am a starter which I never would of expected. These past couple months have been very great for me and I have had opportunities come to me that I never thought I would have a chance of obtaining. But thanks for some luck, which in my definition is when hard work meets opportunity, I am able to have a happy and fun couple of months as of late.

“Animal Farm” Character’s Symbolic Meaning Paragraph

In the story “Animal Farm” by George Orwell, the character snowball represents disloyalty. For example, in the beginning of the story he was doing his all to help out the other farm animals. Then all of a sudden he was not getting much attention so he decided to turn his back on the farm animals. He left and never came back. In addition he gave very good incite to help himself and the other animals at first but he was still not shown the recognition he thought he deserved so he bailed out on the rest of his so called "friends". In my opinion and I'm sure many others too, if you are an unloyal friend, you will never be respected until you gain it back after that. This is a close up on the character Snowball.

Animal Farm to the Real World

One form of allegory that occured in the story "Animal Farm" is when the pig snowball turned his back on the rest of the animals and gave information to the people trying to keep the animals freedom from ever portaining or reaching them. This happens on many different ocassions in the real world. For example, some people who fight war for one country could end up being spies for another country and tell the country they were spying for all the information about its enemy just like snowball did in the story. Another example is a friend who you thought you could trust and you happened to tell them something bad about another person and then your friend goes and tells that person exactly what you said about him. That is exactly what happened in the story. Many stories contain allegory but this story in general happened to exceed the number of allegories themselves than many other stories. This is one example of allegory from this story.

“Animal Farm” Revolution at SPA

If we had a revolution here at San Pasqual Academy kids would have much more freedom and be much more independent. Kids would make their own rules and get rid of staff so that they can do the things they would like to do. Their would be more people in sports because some kids do not join because they do not like the coach or do not play for similar reasons. But then again grades would probably get worse but thats the only turn for the worse out of everything. All of our classes would have more technology just like Ms. Priesters class and it would improve the learning of all students campus wide.

San Pasqual Academy Dragons Symbolism

The mascot of San Pasqual Academy is a Dragon. This mascot first off symbolizes strength. We put in work in not only school but also our sports and the student body works hard at what they do and therefor comes strength. Another is commitment. Kids here on this campus are committed to the sports they play and also graduating high school. Lastly, it stands for success. All students that stay at the academy successfully finish high school and earn their diploma. To me, I could not be any prouder to be a San Pasqual Academy Dragon.

"Through The Tunnel" Foster Youth Initiation

Even though they don’t have to swim through a tunnel like Jerry in “Through the Tunnel” by Doris Lessing, foster youth are initiated into/out of the foster care system. It starts off with a child who is being harassed, raped, neglected, or abused by usually a member of the family. Next somebody finds out or it is told and CPS comes knocking at the door to take you away to another family member who is better suited to take custody of you or you are sent to a foster home or group home. While being in the system kids go through many harsh experiences but it makes them stronger in the end and in my opinion it teaches them what mistakes to not make when they have children.

“Through the Tunnel” Analysis Paragraph

No I do not find it convincing that the little boy in the story Through the Tunnel by Doris Lessing would take such a risk and survive the swim. For one the boy is only eleven years old and I find it extremely hard to believe that someone that young will have the dedication to put himself through this challenge. For two, I doubt he would really take hours of his time to try and train himself to hold his breathe longer for the swim. Lastly, I do not believe someone of that age will make a challenge that difficult. Its just too difficult. This is why I do not find it convincing.

“Through the Tunnel” Prove Yourself Paragraph

There is one time in my life that a vividly remember being doubted and was said that I could not accomplish the feat. Me being very energetic and high in self-esteem, I assured myself with hard work and a little extra studying that I could place first through third in my elementary school spelling bee. All the students said that I could not beat out the five fifth graders while I was a fourth grader. I remember being doubted but always telling them, “You’ll See”. The day came where I could finally prove myself. Words started off easy and made their way more difficult. I soon found myself in the top five out of twenty five students participating. Their was five of us left and just as expected four of them were fifth graders and I was the only fourth grader left. Two of them missed their next word which assured a top 3 finish. I ended up with the third place which is not the best but I still proved my doubters wrong and that’s all I could ask for.

House Symbols

A picture of figures talking to eachother symbolizes our house which is Boys 3. To most people, this item is just a picture of two people communicating with eachother.
To us, it represents unity and great communication because all of us boys in the house get along really well and has fun and knows how to take jokes the right way which shows great communication like the picture provided. Our house is the best boys house on campus because of this. .

Third Quarter Goals

My greatest accomplishment of 2010 is finishing the fourth quarter of my Freshman year with a 3.5 GPA. I worked hard and did most the homework which is usually my biggest flaw, and wound up with a 3.5. My goal for this quarter is to at least match that GPA or get even better. I will start paying more attention in class so I know what to do for my homework and leading to tests. I will do my homework so I know what I'm working on and thoroughly understand it. Last of all I will study hard for tests so I can do good in all aspects of school. This is my goal as of now.

Most Memorable Day of Vacation

My Most Memorable Holiday Experience

Have you ever woke up with the excitement that you are finally going to get something very special that you have waited two years to get? That is just how this wonderful day began. I woke up to the voices of my housemates telling me to go open my Christmas presents in the living room. I jumped out of bed, wet my hair so I didn’t look to horrible, and made my way to the living room to open presents with the hope of my long awaited shoes to be there.
I grabbed the four presents that I had under my tree and began speculating on which one I should open first. I decided it was a good idea to start with the smaller presents first and then start working my way up from there. I started with the small one and opened up a watch. The next gift I opened was a Denver Broncos blanket. Next was an axe set. Then the last box I knew was shoes because I could feel it by just holding it. I prayed to myself and then began opening. As soon as I made the first tear I knew they were Lebron James shoes, the same brand that I had asked for. I tore through the rest and realized they weren’t the exact same ones I wanted but they were still pretty cool shoes. I was happy with the ones I got although they were not my dream shoes.
After I put my presents away I went to my little brother Michael’s house. We played video games for an hour and then headed up to the cafĂ© for their so called “Christmas Brunch”. They had excellent food and stuffed my self with all of it. After that I spent the rest of my day with my girlfriend which was the best part of all. It was the best Christmas I can ask for, being able to have presents and people I love and care about to spend it with. This day could not have been any better.
